Welcome to “It’s Just Me” the vlog that is just me doing stuff and things that are fun and interesting, at least fun and interesting to me 🙂
I’ve had a ziplock bag of rolls of film in my fridge for over 6 years. Finally we found time to take them in to be developed and find out what was on them. There are not what I expected and sharing these has lead to reconnecting with some old friends who I didn’t even realize I was missing so much.
These images reminded me of experience almost completely forgotten and forced me to ask myself why I remember the specific things I do, and not others. Memory serves the narrative we like best and I’m grateful to have been reminded of that.
Wonderful news! The Celtic Hall has decided to bring back the medieval dinner show for a 2013 run. It really is an amazing show perfect for any family for office party and very reasonably priced for what it included. For more information and to get your tickets check out their website at CelticHall.ca

As usual, Christmas was crazy. For us entertainers, the holidays are never the normal sort of insanity the rest of the world experiences; with all the stress about gifts, family, and turkey dinners, no. Christmas season is about doing as many gigs as possible without losing one’s mind.
This year proved to be a lot more fun than I expected since I was asked to be part of a dinner theatre production in Edmonton, Fridays and Saturdays for 4 weekends in December.
Our cast was a team of brilliant and talented variety arts performers and improvers. I can’t tell you how incredibly fun it was to play together in this show. I already miss my little circus family but there are rumours that the run might continue in 2013. Here’s hoping.
On October 19th, 2012 the Television Show where Carisa Hendrix set the new world record for “longest duration fire torch teething”, Lo Show Dei Record in Rome, Italy AIRED THIS CLIP

Note: Fire torch teething refers to a fire-eating stunt which involves using one’s teeth to grip a flaming torch and holding it upright in the mouth without the use of one’s hands. This stunt is considered both dangerous and incredibly difficult. The intense pain from the fire on one’s mouth and teeth plus the inability to breathe throughout the performance of the stunt make this an impressive feat.
The record stood at an impossible 1 minute 32.75 seconds and was achieved by Wendell Gray in Mumbai, India. In training to break his record, I had to work on the trick every day for over a month before flying to Italy in April of 2012 for the chance of a lifetime.
